For my binding of Ephemera, I used selections from my collection of vintage ephemera. The book cover is constructed using Reyburn’s “Gummed Black Cloth Mending Tape” adhered to vintage black pressboard that is reminiscent of an office folder or photo album. The binding is a simple and straightforward non-adhesive longstitch structure that allows room to store my own ephemera within the pages of the book. The title is typed onto a Dennison gummed label bordered in red and it is signed by using a payment book remittance slip that marks the month and year of the binding onto the entry for “Payment No. 19”.
